How to make the most of your peer group.

Take a few minutes to think.
Think about what is not working in your business and also review the good things that have happened and celebrate your successes. This little business introspection will help you organize your ideas and communicate them more effectively during the meeting.
Do your homework.
Sometimes your Facilitator will ask you to do homework. It is for your own benefit!
Complete your Monthly Results if needed.
Some Facilitators request the Monthly Results every month, some would prefer that you fill it out only if you have something to share, sometimes you will have the chance to complete it during the session.
If you have to excuse yourself,
send an email to your Facilitator, your Community Director, the Member Experience Manager or even consider apologizing to the whole group for your absence. But do it in advance. Also, keep in mind that we expect you attend at least 10 of 12 meetings in a year. We are growing, so we will have to end your membership and give another business owner the opportunity to join our program if you miss more than 3 meetings without notice. Be aware that you can use a Leave of Absence, just talk to your Facilitator, your Community Director or the Member Experience Manager.
Join the Zoom meeting 5 or 10 minutes before
to make sure your camera and audio are working properly.
Remember to whitelist our email address (hello@e4ever.org and info@e4ever.org ) and Zoom emails
to make sure you are connected and getting all meeting reminders.
Show Up!
The path to success starts when you attend the meetings.
- Show up on time to the monthly sessions.
- Inform your group members and Facilitator if you cannot attend - no ghosting!
- Be present and engaged: no multitasking, find a quiet, solo spot in front of your laptop or PC, and make sure your camera is on, seeing your face fosters connection!
Harmonizing Voices
- When sharing your issues or experiences, be vulnerable and try to be concise.
- When giving feedback or advice, be nice and use professional language.
- Avoid solely advice-giving–you build trust when you share your own struggles.
Navigate group dynamics with grace
- Share the mic - no monopolizing group time.
- Be respectful even as differences arise. Just like when your extended family gets together, politics and religion are best avoided!
- Keep all group sharing confidential. What happens in the meeting, stays in the meeting.
You can request a One On One meeting with your Facilitator twice a year
to discuss business issues in a more private manner.
Be patient and work hard.
We know that it takes 2.5 years until members start showing success. Stick to the 3 year program!
We will ask you for periodic updates of your financials, employee’s statistics on other data such as demographics.
The reason behind these requests is because we need to share our organizational impact with our funders. Please, help us help you and other small business owners.
Your data is protected
with the highest standards of confidentiality. We don’t share your information with third parties. We only use aggregated data to build reports, charts, tables that show our members progress as a whole.
Help us grow!
If you know a small business owner who would benefit from our program, use the Referral section in the Membership Hub or contact your Community Director.
You may receive a Member Satisfaction Survey.
We really appreciate your feedback. We are continuously working to improve our program and your experience.
If you don't feel comfortable in your assigned group,
please reach out to our Member Experience Manager (hello@e4ever.org), talk to your Facilitator or Community Director. Together, we will find the group that best fits your needs. We know that it takes at least 3 months until a group is bonded. So, give it a chance!
